Logo animation intro for video, drawn line by line in Premiere Pro
An intro with a logo opens a channel, a podcast or a brand video, and it usually comes from a template where your logo replaces a placeholder and the animation is whatever the author made.
In this example there is no logo file at all: the prompt describes a made-up coffee shop called «Зерно» (Russian for "bean"), and the plugin draws the mark itself. Faint construction lines appear in a circle, the bean is drawn with a thin line, fills with a warm gradient, steam rises, then the name types in letter by letter and the slogan fades up under a copper rule.
The prompt behind this clip
This exact text produced the clip above, word for word. It is in Russian, and the plugin reads English prompts the same way:
📝
Интро логотипа кофейни «Зерно»: логотип собирается из тонких линий в центре, потом проявляется название и слоган «Кофе с утра»
Translation for reference (the clip was made from the Russian text above): a logo intro for the coffee shop «Зерно»: the logo assembles from thin lines in the centre, then the name and the slogan «Кофе с утра» ("Coffee in the morning") appear.
Settings: Ultra tier, 16:9, 1080p, 60 fps, 8 seconds. The page plays a smaller copy of the render.
How to make it in Premiere
Open your project and go to Window → Extensions → Butter Motion. The panel docks next to your other windows, so you never leave the edit.
Set the chips under the prompt to match your sequence: 16:9 and the frame rate of your sequence, 8 seconds for the draw, the name and a short hold at the end. Matching aspect, resolution and frame rate means the clip lands on the timeline with nothing to conform.
Leave Background on With background if the graphic fills the frame. Pick Transparent if it should sit on top of your footage: you get a MOV with alpha (ProRes 4444), and it needs an empty video track above the shot.
Leave the tier on Ultra, the default, in the box left of the Generate button. Flash is cheaper and fine for a quick draft.
Paste the prompt, put in your own text and numbers, and press ↑ (or Cmd+Enter / Ctrl+Enter). The card goes through queued, generating, checking layout and rendering. It takes a few minutes, and you can keep cutting while it works.
On the result screen, choose Unlock customization (free for subscribers) to change text, colours and fonts by hand, or type a change into the Tweak bar ("hold the final logo longer").
Press To timeline. The clip is rendered on your computer, imported into the «ButterMotion» bin and placed at the playhead.
What to change for your brand
Name and slogan. Put them in quotes in the prompt. Both are text controls afterwards, and so are the title and slogan fonts.
How the mark appears. "Assembles from thin lines" gives the drawn look. Write "stamps onto the paper", "lights up like neon" or "builds from dots" for a different entrance.
Your own logo. Attach it with the + button in the composer (Add Reference) and describe the motion in the prompt; the AI builds the clip on the image. See Writing prompts.
Colours and extras. This clip has controls for the background, ink and accent colours, the mark size, and switches for the ring, the rule and the steam.
Over footage. A logo bug or an end card over your video works best with Transparent.
Why not a logo intro template
A template animates its placeholder, and your logo has to fit someone else's motion. A generated intro is built around your name and the idea of your brand, and every part of it, from the colours to the steam, stays a control you can change after the fact.
What it costs
One generation at the tier you picked: Flash 7 credits, Ultra 10, Animation 15. Transparency, resolution, frame rate and length do not change the price. For subscribers the controls and the first tweak on each generation are free, and each tweak after that is 5 credits. Rendering and dropping the clip on the timeline cost nothing, and there is no watermark. Plans and credit packs are in the pricing section, the details in How credits work.
